Christiano Ronaldo, the legendary Manchester United footballer is mourning the loss of his son.
In a statement on Monday, Christiano and wife Georgina Rodriguez announced the death while thanking the doctors who were caring for the little one.
The two parents were expecting twins but the boy died after delivery while a girl survived.

We are devastated at this loss and and we kindly ask for privacy at this difficult time,” read Christiano’s in part.
“It is the greatest pain a parent can feel, only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with hope and happiness,” the statement states further.
The couple have three other elder kids.
