News of the assassination of former Japan prime minister Shinzo Abe has spread like wildfire causing uproar and condemnation around the world.
The former Japanese premier was addressing a crowd during a campaign rally when a gunman waiting in the background fired two shots at him.
Shinzo Abe was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead moments later.

Leaders around the world have condemned the incident and also offered their condolences to the people of Japan.
US president Joe Biden sent out a message describing Abe as a champion of friendship between the US and Japan.
African leaders led by Kenya’s Uhuru Kenyatta also sent out their messages of condolence.
