News of the demise of Maragoli gospel singer and songwriter Ilagosa wa Ilagosa has left fans devastated.
The events surrounding the death have remained mysterious with speculation rife over the alleged murder.
It is now emerging that the renowned man of God, gospel singer and ‘Sala Zangu’ hit maker might have been poisoned by another man of the cloth and close friend.
Ilagosa started falling ill in December 2022 complaining of stomach upsets soon after a recent event he attended.

Later on, the singer posted a video talking about his predicament and revealing that he had been poisoned by a close friend and a pastor.
In the video, the gospel musician expressed his resilience to live and assured fans he will be alright.
His condition however worsened and he was diagnosed with kidney failure due to the damage inflicted by the poison eating him on the inside.
This forced him to move from his place in Nairobi’s Donholm estate to live with his brother in Kibera where his family could take care of him.
Financial constraints however hindered the musical star from accessing proper medical care with his rapidly deteriorating condition.
Ilagosa wa Ilagosa death
On Friday February 3rd, the gospel musician was rushed to the st. Mary’s hospital in Langata where he died before being attended while awaiting admission.
Among the musicians who were at the scene was gospel singer Solomon Mkubwa and Ringtone who later on came according to sources.
His death remains a big blow to the slowly declining gospel music industry in the country and Luhya music scene.
The family is currently planning on transferring the body to his home county of Vihiga for funeral arrangements.
